Our artist resources are published to answer practical questions, not to promise a shortcut or sell an outcome.

Publisher: Misunderstood & Company LLC. Guides on this site are attributed to the Misunderstood & Company Editorial Desk. We do not claim that an individual contributor wrote a guide unless that person is named on the page.

Research and clarity

We aim to distinguish general education from legal, tax, financial, or platform-specific advice. When a guide depends on an identifier, official process, or rule, we prefer a primary source and link to it. We avoid treating estimates, personal choices, and proposed site features as guarantees. Readers should confirm current requirements with the responsible organization before relying on them.

Corrections and updates

If you find an error, broken source, unclear claim, or outdated guidance, email hello@misunderstoodandcompany.com with the page URL and the passage in question. Include a trustworthy source where possible. We review correction requests and update material when warranted; we do not promise a particular response time.

Pages display a publication or review date when one is available. Significant changes should be reflected in the page's date or text. A date does not mean every linked third-party service has been rechecked continuously.

Advertising and independence

The Google AdSense verification loader is present on the public home page and the Artist Resources page. This website does not place individual ad units in the sign-in form, member feed, music player, private Release Desk, or preview-only commerce and token interfaces. If Auto ads are enabled in the AdSense account, review its placement controls and exclude interactive or low-content areas as applicable. Advertising does not make an advertiser an author or a source for our editorial conclusions. We will label sponsored or paid content clearly if such content is ever published.
